History

Our story began in 1981, in the small city of Treviso, Italy, where current owner Emanuele Zuanetti (in the picture with his wife Cinzia) founded the company. His dream was to produce organic food products that could be part of a healthy diet without forcing consumers to sacrifice great tastes and flavors.

Under Mr. Zuanetti’s guidance, what started as a small workshop quickly became the first Italian manufacture to offer a complete range of certified organic confectionery products.

In the years that followed, we continued to install new and increasingly advanced production lines capable of manufacturing a wide range of organic, gluten-free, and vegan food products to meet the growing customer demand.

Soon after, we expanded beyond our national borders—first across Europe and then worldwide. Today, as always, we remain highly dedicated to nourishing our customers’ health and take great pride in crafting organic, great-tasting foods.

In 2017, we began our adventure into the North American market. We look forward to meeting new people and introducing our organic, gluten-free, and vegan snacks to a whole new group of enthusiastic fans!

Quality is at the core of everything we do: We strive for continuous improvement at every level—from our research and selection of the best ingredients, to our production processes and management systems—ensuring we offer our customers the best possible product.

Quality Control
Our quality-control department closely monitors every stage of the production chain, from the selection of the unprocessed, organic ingredients to the final touches before the products hit the shelves. Quality ingredients are essential for a delicious final product, and all our ingredients are certified in accordance with the most important industry guidelines. Whenever possible, we work with local suppliers and build long-term relationships with them to ensure greater control of quality and guarantee suppliers meet our extremely high standards.

Research and Development
Our internal R&D department is well equipped to respond quickly to market trends and undertake extensive taste-testing and market research before suggesting new products to offer our customers. Every year we invest to craft new, refined organic and nutritious food products, free from additives, preservatives, coloring agents and hydrogenated fats.

The Healthy Food Manufacture Is Off to A Fast Start in North America

In less than 12-months, Germinal Organic Inc. has positioned itself to take the US gluten-free snack market by storm.

Following the official launch of the brand in the summer of 2017, Germinal Organic has now a solid presence in the U.S. Market. Germinal Organic leverages an experienced team of professionals based in Los Angeles.

During a recent visit to the US headquarters, Export Manager, Elisa Zamperoni reiterated Germinal Group’s commitment to the North American market, explaining:
“Our Company is investing heavily in the Germinal Organic brand. We have the experience and resources to deliver a quality product, and the Germinal Organic brand was created specifically for the American consumer. Short Production Chain and Fair-Trade
We have worked hard to establish certified-organic, short production chains to obtain all our gluten-free flours. We are proud to have achieved a 100% traceable supply chain for all our food products, from the field to the shelf. In addition, we deal exclusively with suppliers who are affiliated with the WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization) circuit or similar organization equipped to organize, manage, and certify fair-trade distribution chains. We work with such organizations to build long-term relationships with producers, ensure fair prices, and support development projects.

Sustainable Energy Sources
We are committed to using clean and renewable energy sources in order to reduce our use of traditional fuels as much as possible. We fully believe it is our personal responsibility to reduce the atmospheric emissions of harmful substances derived from the processing of fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, and their derivatives. Ensured by GREENER—the certified green energy source that powers our company—we can guarantee that our product is manufactured in a way that respects the environment. Our system produces 230,500.77 KW of power every year, reducing our annual CO2 emissions but 22% annually.

Eco-Friendly Packaging materials and Waste Management

Made entirely from compostable materials such as polypropylene, all Germinal Organic packaging is 100% recyclable. Environmental protection programs and ecological problems make the recycling of waste products like packaging increasingly necessary; recovering and reusing raw materials, including paper, plastic, glass, and aluminum result in significant energy savings and prevent the materials from ending up in landfills.
